I see you are here. I was wondering how your new first day of homeschool went? I was thinking about you the other day and was curous.

Strange to see one's name as a thread topic :rolleyes:

DD has gotten a LOT done this week - despite her protests that she misses her school chum. She still says she HATES math but does say that what I am having her use (6th grade Teaching Textbooks instead of 5th grade Everyday Math - Chicago Math) is much "easier" and "quicker".

The fact that I had her fav ice cream and gummy worms on hand ("Gee, kids at school don't get ice cream/gummy worm sundaes for lunch, do they, poor things") wasn't really a bribe, no, of course it wasn't :rolleyes:

She does remember how much free time she had in fourth grade homeschooling and today was eager to get through her work and be free.
