Hello, all-

My 14 yo is taking a placement test to try to test out of Algebra I in high school next year. (She is currently in a charter school- I'm an afterschooler.) The test is May 1st. The teacher just asked for help, because she doesn't think the kids are ready for the test !!!! A little late to let us know.

Anyway, does anyone know of a good Algebra I review program? Or websites that would be helpful?

Thanks.

Yes! ALEKS.com But it might not be enough with such a short deadline. Can she retake the test?

Make sure you ask for a trial subscription if you do go with ALEKS. Particularly if you think a week would be all you use.

We are going to do this for review over the summer.

Well, since you only have a little over a week, you might just try to check out a few library books on algebra review, and see if you can go through a few practice tests. Or maybe look through the Hippocampus Algebra site to reinforce what you already know... might be too late for learning a lot of new material! Good luck!

Thanks, everyone!

I am going to do a trial on ALEKS to see what she needs review on. I also found a great website- purplemath.com (http://www.purplemath.com/) - that seems to have a lot of great information, for free!
