I'm surprised no one else has commented on this yet. Just heard snatches of it on public radio today, but they were saying that wheat prices in the U.S. have gone up something like 37% in the last year. Can't remember all of the other things they listed, but most had gone up 30%. Corn this year is selling for $6 a bushel, in large part because 30% of the corn being grown this year is scheduled for ethanol production rather than food.
