I've been looking at the website, and they look good, but I would love to hear some real-life experience with them.
Thank you!

We used them in 9th and 10th. My daughter asked to drop them for 11th and 12th to focus on writing as they can be time consuming. In retrospect I wish we had not dropped them. My next in line will be doing Smarr all the way through highschool.
The main criticism I have seen concerns their depth. They do not provide deep literary analysis. They do provide a very thorough list of reading comprehension style questions, some vocabulary work and a few critical thinking questions. They divide the works up into very nice daily reading assignments. Grammar review is built into between each work of literature, as are writing assignments.
They are from a Christian perspective.

I use the reading lists from SMARR and add our own discussion and writing assignments. I do like the lists.

I am putting Smarr on my tentative plan for next year. Kelli, I will be on the alert for ways to add more literary analysis to our study. And, yes, Sandy, I too like their lists.
