SWO users: anyone use a slower pace past D?

Or do you keep up with 2 workbooks a year until you're done? Just wondering as we add writing next year if it would make sense to slow down on the workbooks to have more time in the day for other LA activities. Thanks.

This is the pace we used:

First - A/B
Second - C
Third - D and half of E
Fourth - finish E and F
That allows us to do only G in fifth grade and only H in sixth grade. I wanted to be able to do those more slowly as they really get a lot more into word roots and word study.

I found that we had to slow down after C... I guess it all depends on how good your kid is at spelling. My kids come from a long line of pathetic spellers. Ds will finish up D this year (third grade) and will not start E until fourth grade.

Now the five year old is doing SWO A this year and may move on to B, but he is a reasonably good speller.

We do one book per year and always have. When we were doing the earlier books we were very relaxed with spelling. Now we spend more time on it and still only do one book per year. So, if you were doing two books per year before than I think that slowing down would be good.
