I was so proud...English with German word order. Also I was proud because he is getting speech therapy and this was the longest sentence I ever heard him say. He loves our German DVDs and I speak some German to him.

Funny, ny 13yo is now using French words with English expressions (translating expressions literaly). It's not so cute now... :D

My niece lives in Germany, and married a Ukranian. Their common language is German. When my great-niece was two, she had already learned not everyone understood one language. They were here for thanksgiving, and she was shaking her head and speaking quite firmly "nyet, nein, no". Apparently, quite common for her.
