I noticed a girl in my son's ballet class who had a Singapore math book (she goes to a private school in Albany NY). This is something new there too because I remember last year her mother mentioned they were using Everyday Math there (which is what much of NY uses).
Interesting! Thanks, wapiti.

I was just coming to post this. It came to my inbox this morning from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation...

My niece's school adopted Singapore Math this year and while my mom was skeptical, my sister and her daughter both love it.

Thanks for sharing both links.

Not a chance :D
I though the article was a very poor bit of journalism.

Sorry. It didn't sound like your style, but I got to the bottom of an article about how great Singapore is, & it said, "Bill," & I know there aren't more than one or two Bills in the world, so I knew there were like really, REALLY high odds it was YOU. ;)
I couldn't help wondering.
