Dd9 had an ear ache and is crying. In the past 2 hours, I have had her use heat, warm olive oil and gave her Motrin. She is still in pain. Any other suggestions?
It seems like I remember previous suggestions with garlic and/or onions. Did I fall asleep with a cooking show on TV or are there real relief in these natural treatments? How do you use them?

I am so sorry. It was me in your boat not that long ago. I had to take my dd to the ER she was in so much pain. That was not much fun and I don't recommend it. We were at the doctor a few days later for another child. If you can get them to give you the analgesic ear drops they will help immediately. My 10yodd was the one I had to take into the ER and she had a double ear infection. The gave her vicodin!
I hesitate to post this, but if you have anything stronger than the motrin and it has been a while then I would try it, but in a careful dosage. Garlic in the olive oil - like garlic juice might help a bit.
Hugs to you - it is no fun to watch a little one in pain. Sorry I don't have anything else to offer.
Warmly,
Kate
