How to post that items have sold

How do you tell everybody that items have sold?

Or that WTB items have been found?

I've tried to go back and edit the original post to "grey" it out and put a big red SOLD on it. If it's too late to edit, I post sold. Sometimes (recently) I don't sell things or I need to add to it and it's just easier to start a new post. I'm having problems with that though. People are pulling my old posts (Jan 2008:001_huh:). I went back and posted to ignore the thread. We'll see if that works.
