We're using yr 1 redesign with a LG, UG and D students. My D student schedules her own work. But spaces the readings out all week. So do my UG and LG kids. Now for my LG kid, it's only a 2 page spread a day. My UG kid has many Usborne pages a day. My D kid has 2-4 Usborne pages a day. (We are on unit 4 in Rome right now.) Then they all space out the Bible reading for the week. (All of Acts this week.) Then my D kids spaces out the literature book all week. UG and LG lit books are not at the library for this week and I didn't find alternates yet.
It just sounds like people finish the history readings on Monday or Tuesday. I know I can do it however it works for us. I'm just wondering if there is a better way.

We have our planning session on Thursday night or Friday morning (for the next week). I have them schedule reading over the weekend, because I want all reading done by Day 3. We discuss on Day 4 and do projects on Day 5. By reading over the weekend, they have at least 5 days to get their books finished, and they could add Friday night if they felt pressured.
Although we're still pretty new to TOG, it's working well so far.

In the files section there are a number of schedules that people have posted. I mainly lurk over on those boards but there is a wealth of information and helps!

That has been tricky for me to figure out also. It is difficult to answer the questions, or write, or do activities if the reading isn't done, but that means that most of the work is at the end of the week. I ended up giving the reading assignments at the end of the week for the next week and it has been working better.

Karen has her TOG schedule on her blog (http://web.mac.com/rivendellpress/Rivendell_Press/_TOG_Schedule.html).
