What does the gray square mean? I saw that I have one. I don't get this whole thing, but then I didn't even know I could have this stuff until I saw that I had 35 points. Maybe I'm just obtuse?

Bad rep will have a red box next to it.

To see your points, click on "User Control Panel" at the top left of the screen. You'll see a box labeled "Latest Reputation Received" that shows the last 5 reps you've received.
