Hi
I am purchasing this for my daughter. Do you add anything to it suhc as History Pockets, or is it fine on it's own with just the activity book with it's book lists, activities and such?
Do you also do a timeline?
If so do you make your own, or puchase one?
Do you think this has adequate Geography in it as well?
Thank you:001_smile:

I think you will be fine with the AG, and, depending on the age of your daughter, a timeline of some sort. SWB says to wait on the timeline until logic stage, but I find it is a nice way to review, and to keep people and events in some sort of order. We just make our own. (very low tech!)
There's been plenty of geography for my tastes in each SOTW, but I haven't done 3 yet, so I don't know what it has in it.
Some people like to add in a little more American History--I think there's plenty for the first go round of the 4 year cycle, but ymmv. I might add in more by reading a few more fiction books set in the US. We already are quite familiar with books such as the Little House books, and some Native American/Colonial books. You can use the book list at WinterPromise to compare with the AG if you want to add in a few more.

If you have a decent library, you won't need anything except the Activity Guide. There are SO many picture books and historical fiction books written about the Vol. 3 time period. You may even have to cut some stuff out if you want to finish in a year.

We have just used the AG and library for extra reading....
