Any resources or websites? 5th grade ds has horrible handwriting, although he *can* write neatly if he chooses to. He told me that he would like to learn the Palmer method, b/c his grandmother mentioned it to him, and he googled it and liked the look of it.

Has anyone taught this? I haven't seen any copywork books, etc. with this style. Even a font I could download to make copywork pages with would be great.

Thank you!!

This website seems to have books at each level for Palmer Method, one link is the beginning book and one is for the beginning cursive book:

I learned the Palmer method and really wanted my girls to learn how to write this way. I love how it looks.

So, I purchased many, if not all of books. However, it was more difficult to teach than I anticipated. There were few, if any, prompts for the student. It must be in some magic teacher's manual I never did find.

I sold my books to a local homeschool bookstore. Many of them are still in the store at good prices.

I once taught the Palmer Method to sixth-graders. There was a very good teacher's manual and a teacher's training session that were part of the program. To teach this handwriting program effectively, the teacher needs the manual. While I was trying to locate one, I came across this link from Amazon.com.

I think I have the original copy of this book, which contains the drills and rationale behind the writing program that eventually became part of the teacher's manual for the series.

I hope this helps anyone trying to use the Palmer Method. I still use it when I'm writing on the board in class, and two of my eighth graders remarked how neat my handwriting is. It's a very nice-looking font, and I hope that someone decides to reprint the series.
