I'm watching this on my instant view Netflix. I can't believe I'm watching it. I'm all caught up in the plot. Each one gets better.

It's disgusting.

I'm waiting for the next episode to download now.

Yes, I love it. I just got dh hooked, too. It's very raw but an incredible show.

I admit it.........I love Dexter! I caught it on a free Showtime weekend last year and watched the whole first season in 2 days.........then I was hooked.

I do have to say that I am really happy they are showing it on CBS now without all the language/sex..........

Too gory for me, but I'll cop to Big Love!

*Raising hand timidly*...

Dh and I really like the show, although I totally despised his AA "sponsor" lady. UGH!!

We own the books that the show is based on, too, and dh like them a lot. Very different plot twists in the books! I have yet to read them and haven't decided if I will.

Um, I've watched it. Personally I think while it is interesting, the premise is horrible (morally, I mean). I've decided to not watch it so dh has to watch it alone!:D

It does have a horrible premise doesn't it?? It just can't be justified, no matter how I try. I'm still hooked, I guess because of a fallen nature sense of justice. I love to see bad guys get it.

I just had to go to Netflix and see what it was. I watched the first episode. Very interesting, I'll def. watch more, thanks. I had NO idea what it was though.

I think it's interesting and well done. But yeah, lol, it makes me really uncomfortable. Dh and I watched most of season 1 last year on the Showtime free preview, but never finished the season. I may finish at some point, but I didn't love it so much I just "had" to watch it.

And camibami, I'll admit to watching Big Love too... ;)

I had never watched, and was interested after reading this thread. Well, dh and I watched the first four eps in two nights. I have the other three disks coming from Netflix. It's really very well done, dialogue, etc. Just wanted to say thanks for posting about it.

I will admit it...it is addicting and it is written so well. I haven't watched all of it yet, but thank goodness for Netflix Browse Instantly!:) It is just a show...enjoy it.

Guilty!!!

I can't believe I'm into it either. It does have too much gore for my taste but I do like the story line. The idea of a sociopath being the one that seeks out justice is a bit interesting. I just wish it wasn't so graphic. I think that alot of programs over do it and this is one of them.

as a foster parent adopting a child, with a COP for a husband. Uh, it gives me the flippin' willies.

I love seeing baddies get it, but to know (and eventually like I'm sure) a character that sick, it screws with my moral compass. I feel for the character even though I *know* he's ultimately doing wrong. He's murdering people. :glare:

And you end up likin' the guy! LOL

Like I said, only watched a few. Perhaps at some point I'll rent them. Not much disturbs me and I like most cop shows for obvious reasons. :D

What I meant by this:
as a foster parent adopting a child, with a COP for a husband. Uh, it gives me the flippin' willies.

is that Dexter (the main character) was in foster care as a child. He is adopted by a cop and his wife. He ends up being a psychopath? Is that right ladies? Anyway, the cop teaches him to use his his murderous (and torturous) tendencies/urges on the worst of the worst criminals out there.
