Avatar on Yahoo! Question

I made myself an avatar on Yahoo. When I chat with my dd, she can see my avatar on her computer, but I cannot see it on mine--I'm just a gray box. I can see hers, though--so I know my avatar is turned on. I've searched and searched. Any suggestions?
