for dd. We are going to re-do her bedroom for her 11th b-day. I've looked at Target, Ikea, and Pottery Barn teen (although I wouldn't pay those prices). Are there any places I am missing that makes fun, cute pre-teen/teen bedding? She doesn't want it too pink or little girlish, but something not over the top. Can anyone help?

The Company Store has some nice things, imo.

I was just looking at some of their horse-themed sets for my dd.

Edited to add:
I forgot to mention Domestications too. They generally have better prices, but I think their quality is also a little less than The Company Store's quality. If you do order from Domestications, they have email newsletters & send out promos pretty regularly. The current one is to get a gift card w/ purchase (use code D8CRGCG at checkout for $20gc w/ $100 purchase, $30gc w/ $125, or $40 w/ $150). GC promo is good through Monday.

Yes, the Company Store and its sister site, Company Kids, has lots of cute bedding. Bed Bath & Beyond has a bunch too. JCPenney also has some fun bedding and everything is on sale right now. Hope she finds something she likes!

I'm pretty out of touch with what would please an 11 year old girl, but if were that age again, I'd love a room right out of the Land of Nod catalog.

We got some really cute tie-dye looking sheets made out of tshirt material at Fred Meyer. They are bright royal blue and purple, and look really nice. They were on sale, so that helped.

I find GREAT stuff at Ross. It's hit or miss, but I like a good treasure hunt.

I'm really sorry that Bombay Co/Bombay Kids went out of business a few months ago -- they had some really neat, just-slightly-off-the-beaten-path options...

Besides some of the others that have been mention (Land of Nod, Company Store), you might try Tuesday Morning, if you have any locally. They're terribly hit-or-miss, but sometimes they have really great items at very low prices.

Don't forget to check Pottery Barn Teens too... I know PB prices are insane, but I've found several things there over the years that were clearanced and cheaper than I could get at Target, etc.

This is sort of a hard age because it seems like there isn't much for the inbetween stage.

Could you do plain colored bedding and add in the fun with pillows, artwork, accessories, etc.? (sorry if this was suggested already, I haven't read all the replies)

I am not much help because my dd has a quilt on her bed that I made and sheets we bought on clearance (they don't match the quilt). We never got around to decorating her room in any cohesive way so her room is a hodge-podge of whatever.

The nice thing about going plain on the bedding is that it is easier to change out a few accessories over the years as her tastes may change as opposed to all new bedding.

Have fun!

I think it would help to know what she likes...

My dd recently re-did her bedroom from a pink flowered theme to horses. We did this by replacing the bedding, the rug and the curtains. We found an inexpensive quilt with matching sham and bought regular sheets. She is the only one that sees them right?

We are actually still in the process of doing the curtains. She wants me to make them out of fabric but I am trying to find some already made.

Oh, and Mindy... If you ever want to feel much better about the prices you're *actually* considering, head over here (http://www.poshtots.com/catalog/Bedding/Girls-Bedding/225/1333/product_list.asp) for a few minutes! (And for heaven's sake, don't miss the chance to click over to furniture and check out the "fantasy beds", roflol -- oh my!)

In all seriousness, I did find inspiration for ds' bedding there a few years ago. I was just browsing when I found a chess-inspired room with bedding that I just loved. I searched out the fabric they'd used, and eventually found it on eBay (and even found it in a color scheme I liked even better) and made my own.
