Ok....I have read through the other post about classical writing vs modern wirting. WOW!!!
Anyways, I see that both CW and WT are based on the progymnasmata but can someone go into the differences between these programs? The Pros and Cons between these two programs?

I've read from other posts that WT is more of an "open and go" format while CW takes more prep time. We are using WT once my books all arrive. I have the WT2 TM and I am so excited to start it w/ my 2 sons. It looks like something they could really get in to and enjoy and learn something as well. I need something "open and go" b/c my time is so limited already that any amount of unnecessary prep time is not good! I've never looked at CW so I cannot speak for it.

The lower levels of CW aren't any harder to teach than WT, once you see how it works. WT is just more FUN, with games, activities, etc. WT allows and in fact encourages creative additions in the 2nd draft, which CW doesn't. I find the kids really enjoy that. WT seems less overwhelming overall, whether it's because of the more fun tone, the convenient layout, the scripted tm (very handy, have to say), the more engaging models, the... You just hear less often about people getting overwhelmed by WT. Once you do WT, you'll see where you could easily pick up CW and make it work for you. You won't have trouble doing another grammar program on top of WT if you want, where some people get swamped in CW and feel like they can't handle both. WT gives me what I want but nothing more. It's just right.
And yes, I own both. :)
