Try playing this vocabulary quizzing game at Free Rice (http://www.freerice.com/). It's more than just about your fabulous vocabulary, though. For every word you get correct, you are also donating 20 grains of rice to feed starving people worldwide.

The FAQ (http://www.freerice.com/faq.html) says that very few people ever get past level 48. ;)

I've been doing this off and on for a few months. I'd wager many people here can break 50 (highest level is now 55) at least occasionally because of their Latin exposure. The highest I've attained is 51, but I usually hover around 48.

I am like the previous poster - I hover around 48-49, and ONCE was at 51 for three words until I got too cocky and went down. I play this game almost daily. Note - I have always been excellent at words. I love words. I just mess up spelling them:001_smile:

Very fun! I made it to a whopping level 45, but I did donate like 4,000 grains of rice. What's that a couple cups. :glare:
Thanks for sharing the link.

I love this site. I play often -- I'm not very good, though.

It's a horribly addictive little game...

Have they raised the ceiling? When I last did it the top level was 51 - since that was where I was consistently, I was able to get myself to stop... though I got my mother hooked on it!

Thanks for the warning. I'll stay away. I'm one who can have no games on my computer. Funny, because I don't normally have an addictive personality, or obsessive, but certain computer games suck me right in.

I don't do computer games as such... this is just choosing the correct definitions for words... but it was so much fun I not only had trouble stopping, for a few days I kept coming back for more. (I just wanted to make sure you knew what you were avoiding... :))

It was great for GRE study, too.

Yes, this is the kind of thing I'd become addicted to. I'd want to keep going back to see if I could beat my score.
