Hello all,
We will begin our SOTW adventure Monday. My AG is on it's way to me in the mail but I am visiting our library today. Can anyone please list the suggested reading for the first lesson? I would like to pick up the books on our trip today.
TIA! :)

I wasn't sure if you were doing the Introduction or starting at chapter 1

Cross references for all chapters:
Usborne Book of World History
Usborn Internet-Linked Encyclopedia
Kingfisher Illustrated History of the World
Kingfisher history Encyclopedia

Intro:
Me and My Family Tree by Joan Sweeney
Archaeologists Dig for Clues by Kate Duke
The Magic School Bus Shows and Tells: A book about Archaeology by Jackie Posner
I can Be an Archaeologist by Robert Pickering
Writing down the Day 365 Creative Journaling Idea for Young People by Lorraine M. Dahlstrom

Chapter 1
It's Disgusting and we ate it! James Solheim
Ancient Agriculture by Michael Woods
One Small Blue Bead by Byrd Baylor
The First Dog by Jan Brett
Tonka, the Cave Boy by Ross Hutchins
Little Grunt and the Big Egg by Tomie dePaola

hope that helps. Have fun!!

That was exactly what I am looking for! Bless your heart for listing that for me. :hurray:

ETA- Wow! I just checked and my library doesn't have any of those books. :(

My library only had one when we were doing those chapters, isn't that some thing! So what I did was just a general search for "family trees" "archaeology", etc and we found fun books that way. And really, some weeks we don't even get around to doing the extra books! So definitely don't feel like you *must* have them.
