My dear, dear mil is coming over tonight to babysit 6 children. (our oldest is going to a dinner for the deaf) My dh and I haven't been out since our anniversary a month ago. It's been a very stressful month with the two foster children we have. So, this is a much needed night out. I am soooooo excited!!!! :001_tt1::001_tt1::001_tt1::party::001_tt1::001_tt 1::001_tt1:

I've been looking forward to this all week. Adult conversation, dinner, shopping for a new bed, watching the sunset at the beach.. ahh :drool5:

Anyone else have plans?

That reminds me, I have to pick up a movie for the kids. Uh, anyone see Alvin and the Chipmunks? If so, is there anything offensive in it?

Thanks,

Tracie

I was just thinking - maybe I need to take Spring Break this coming week. I was going to push through so we could finish by the end of May, but I am feeling like I could really use the vacation now...

Yes ma'am, I am right there with you. My oldest ds turned 10 yesterday. My little guy has been jealous of the cool stuff his brother got and been a tiny bit stinkerish. My neighbor has been brought home from the hospital for the final time. He is a hoot and we will miss him. We are expecting something within the next week at most.

But tomorrow, my boys go camping for Sat to Sun. And I will likely be having a WTMer come this way to hang out with me! So glad today is Friday. Really looking forward to the weekend.

School's OUT!!! Na-na-na-na-na

I'm ready to grab a few friends, jump into my Ford Escort, roll down the windows and crank up the tunes. Then we're going to drive down to to the beach and cruise the strip...

Wait - that was 15 years ago....

Oh well, guess I'll go do some laundry then.

Yes, but I only have 2 which makes it easier for me to get some time. If I had as many as you, then it would likely never happen. But then again, I am not meant to be a mother to many. I have what and who I am supposed to have.
So, why don't you make the escape and head on over. I'm cooking!

Bwaa, ha ha ha! I bet you thought you were so super cool, too. I know we did back then. Oh man, how naive, yet adventurous we were. LOL Hey, I can see some of us moms doing this, though. We *have* to get a convertible, though. :auto:

That is SO tempting! What are you cooking? ;)

But right now I have to mop my messy terrazo floors. Tell me to go mop so my mil doesn't think I live in a pig sty.

Alright, I'm outta here.

I wish I had a date with my hubby tonight~oh well~hopefully soon enough.
Maybe a Saturday afternoon date is what I suggested earlier in the week :D
We haven't had a date in ages~since I was pregnant and on bed rest, then in the hospital for a week and now taking care of a baby :D We just haven't had time..
Here's to hoping I get a date this weekend :001_smile:

He paused and said, "Um, a wetnurse?" LOL. Poor guy. Even if we could find a sitter for the other five, we can't leave the sixth one. Next year, I told him. We haven't had a date night in over four years. But tenth anniversaries only come every ten or so years (or something like that, LOL!) so, for tonight, we're grilling steaks, making shrimp scampi, and watching Go-Go-Gophers with the kids! It'll be fun, but I'll be wishing your MIL could come watch our kids, too!

Have a great date night!
