My 17 year old has to take Algebra II and struggled so much with Algebra I. She is in public school but we are contemplating homeschooling for her Algebra II class since she struggled so much in Algebra I. (She homeschooled for her first 9 years of school so she knows the routine). Does anyone have any suggestions and experience with this?

We have used Math U See.
My daughter has always done well in math, so I can't give you any examples from a teaching perspective, but when I was in 9th grade, I struggled with algebra. I have often wished that this was available when I went to school. The explanations are thorough and the concepts well explained.

Yes, Math U See, or Teaching Textbooks. Both are very good.

Every problem is solved for you step by step on the CD and the lessons are very well explained.

Not to confuse the issue, but you might want to look at math relief (keyboard enterprises). Since she has struggled with Algebra II you would probably want to use phase 3 of the Algebra I and then Algebra II. I think the website is www.mathrelief.com
I have called them for advise before and they are very helpful.
Hope that helps,
Veronica

Thank you for your response about the Teaching Textbooks. I will check it out. We use MUS for my younger daughters and I really like it but since I haven't used it all the way up I am hesitant to jump in at the higher levels. Thank you everyone for your help.
