I had my eyes checked today, because I have a lot of headaches. The Dr. told me that I needed glasses for night time only, to help during driving and watching TV. I told him that I don't drive alot during the night. I don't watch alot of TV, but when I do we have a big TV to watch.
My vision is 20/25, so the prescription would be very, very small. The lens alone were going to cost me $110, then I would have to purchase the frames..around $99.
I told him that I would think about it, i can not afford to pay that for something that I will end up forgetting!

I now have a MAJOR headache, which I had when I went in to see him..now is worse and on top of that my eyes hurt from the dilation..I think.:cool:

I got this link:

off the old boards. They have glasses starting at $8 including lenses, $4.95 shipping. If you have already had the exam, ask your doctor for the scrip. He has to give it to you. The reduction in eyestrain induced headaches is well worth the $12.95!

Do you have astigmatism? I do and it really gives me headaches to do anything where there are lights involved without wearing my glasses (my contacts don't have astigatism correction because the astigmatism isn't that bad). If you are only slightly nearsighted but have astigmatism it could explain the headaches and why he recommended them for nighttime use.

I don't but I think I will pretty soon. My friend did, with very minor correction, and she is very glad she did. Same deal, headaches and all, but mostly she is a lot more confident driving at night. She is VAIN, so it is hard for her to wear them...she only puts them on like 2 seconds before she switches into gear, and ONLY wears them at DARK...but she WEARS them!

The eye place told me that it would cost me $110 for the lens, then $59+ for the frame!
I just paid $18 for the frames, lens with no glare and shipping!!!!!

Hope this WORKS!!!!
