I hate mine. I can never get it clean. I've tried the special glass stove top cleaners, but they make more of a mess than they clean. I've been afraid to try Clorox or SoftScrub. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance.

But use the same cleaner that they sell in dept. stores to clean Corning Ware. We had a glass top stove for years & this works like a charm! Just make sure the top has cooled. Also, if you don't already, use a FLAT razor to scrape off stuff that has burnt to the top. Then polish with the Corning Ware cleaner and it will gleam like new! Atleast ours always did. I learned this trick from a repair guy that came by to fix an element one time.

I hate mine, too--which my mother can't understand, b/c hers is practically the love of her life. (ok, feelin' a little &itchy today, can ya tell?)

I really like those Mr. Clean white spongy things with the chemicals in them. Magic Eraser, that's it! Seems to easily get the crud off the burners.

I use it to get all the hard stuck on stuff. There is also a glass stove top cleaner that I use after that to clean the top. Work well for me.

I don't have one but mil does and she loves hers. She says she rubs the surface every day with something called "cerama brite".

I love mine. I spray it down with a general purpose kitchen cleaner, wipe with a paper towel, then spray with isopropyl alcohol and wipe with a dry paper towel to get a nice shine. About once a week I go over it with that special cleaner stuff. I only use a tiny bit and polish with an old soft towel. I find the special cleaner stuff only works as a polish after the stove is already clean.

eta: Tonia's post reminded me, Cerama Brite is the special stove cleaning stuff I use to polish.
