My apologies if this has been answered in a thread elsewhere. I couldn't come up with a set of search terms that were specific enough.
Has any one learned from Memoria Press the date Drew's memory work book is expected to be available?
Secondly, will it still match up neatly with the revised edition of LCC?

No date yet; the designer has just put the finishing touches on LCC2 this week and has begin laying out Memory Work. The memory work book will have two tables of contents, one to correspond with the old LCC and one for the new, so it will be usable regardless of which edition you're following. HTH!

Now, that is a nice and thoughtful idea!

Drew--will this include memory work for all 3 stages: grammar, logic, & rhetoric? I agree with Stephanie; the coordination to both books is a very nice idea indeed!

LCC is not based on Dorothy Sayers, so it's not organized by stages. The memory work book contains selections for grades K-12, if that helps. :)

Yes, it does. I was referring to your segmentation of primary school, grammar (early & late) school, and secondary school, but I used the terms more familiar to this board. I'm just looking for more memory work ideas as we hit the junior high and high school years. I've been using The Harp & Laurel Wreath for such a long, and I'm looking for a new resource to draw ideas from. Thanks!

I'm afraid my reply came off as snappish, but that wasn't my intention. :blushing: I just didn't want people to expect that the selections would arranged like, say, The Harp and Laurel Wreath (as great a book as it is). I tried to organize them so that they would correspond closely to the LCC readings for each year. At the same time, a person not using LCC could easily use the book as a general resource for memory work, just picking and choosing materials that fit their needs. At least that was my goal. :)

No problem, really. I realize that I didn't word my question very well (sorry about that!). K-12 is a much better description for the LCC view rather than the stages I referred to; I was trying to include the upper levels, but a better explanation didn't come to mind as I was typing. I can understand your need to make sure that future customers know what to expect from your books. It sounds great, and I'm looking forward to getting it. I'm definitely interested knowing that the selections will correspond to the LCC readings!
