Who has as many email addresses as me? I have six. Six. SIX.

Why??? Because I am stupid. I thought I had to have a different one for each blog, (family, hobby, horse sales) and then there is the Drunken Minkey blog that I use to harass my family, and then there's the email I tried to set up so that I could get the Yahoo instant messenger thing going so that I could use a blasted cam thingy to talk to our best friends.

I have a terrible suspicion that I have several IM accounts that I am too stupid to log on to.

I now have so many emails and passwords that I have to write them down all over so that I won't forget them. Checking all my mails is a major affair, because I have to sign in and out and in and out.

If I have to open another one I'm going to call it... yesi'manidiot@yahoo.com What should I use as a password......."Where's the rum??"
If I ever lose my Jeeves, I'm dead meat.

You've got me beat. I have only three. Used to be four, but that was connected to a job I no longer hold. But, here's my real reason for posting, since I'm not much of a rum drinker (wine's my best friend in that dept.)...

Why not have the same password for every account? At least that way you would have to remember only one.

Just a thought. :)

Ah yes, one password you say. But I say unto you it is too late. I have already fried my goose with many difficult and elusive passwords. I have lied about my age to the almighty internet, so that they could not track me down and peek into my house from my computer screen. I can not remember how old I am supposed to be. I think I range from 50 to 100. I have made up towns. I have given my mother's zip code.

My dog has a facebook, and I lied about her age too!!!! She is too young to have a facebook.

Oh what a tangled web we weave. My children are snorting at me.

We have pretty much unlimited email accounts. We have a server name and can just put anything in front of the @123.456 Hubby creates a different one when he signs up for different things. So if he signs up for the national geographic site, he signs up with nationalgeographic@123.456 That way he knows if a site is selling his email address and stops it.

Then you have our regular nc.rr.com accounts. Gotta love computer geek hubbies ;)

And I won't even get into what my dh does in the way of passwords. He seriously has a problem being cruel to customers when he rests their passwords ;)

My record has been 5. Each for different purposes. The good news is I get no spam at all in my private and alumni emails as a result. I like long, complicated passwords, and frequently reset the Yahoo ones.

Do I get a free bottle of rum? ;)
