He is in 8th grade at a ps in an LD class. He can add, subract, multiply and divid but is having trouble with fractions. They are teaching him pre-alegbra and geometry and he is struggling. Is there any good web sites or a program my sister can use to help him? TIA

One idea would be the Key to Fractions (http://www.keypress.com/x5197.xml) books. They would isolate that one topic for him.

I second this suggestion. After trying to help my bf's son with his pre-algebra homework, I can only conclude that fractions and factoring are not taught explicitly enough in 5th or 6th grade.
I've sent out recommendations to all my ps-ing friends to get Key to Fractions for summer review. They are 4 short workbooks with explanations and not a lot of problems. Can easily be completed over the summer. I'm having my own children do them between Singapore 4 & 5.
