does anyone else wear out theirs before you get a new one next year? I am forever going through it and finding stuff I missed and think "well I need to go check that out, "Oh, I need that", "Gotta have this". I have so many notes and highlights in that thing it is crazy. You would think it was a book I was getting ready to test on or something. LOL
So, I am sitting here wondering if I was the only one who "studies" the RR catalog. LOL

Mine is so worn out, I can barely read the table of contents and I had to duct tape the spine, lol. :) When does the new one come out, btw??

No, you're not the only one! I have post-it flags all over mine.

Is it like June or July I think, but I could be wrong. I just cannot wait for the new one so I can see all the new stuff. Gosh I need more post its and a new highlighter soon. Yeah!!

I think it comes out in the early summer at some point, I think that is when my last one came. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

I can't wait to get another one either, the cover of mine just got torn today. :glare:

I call it my curriculum bible. I comb through it at least once a week, looking for next year's curriculum. This starts in about October...It's an illness.:tongue_smilie:

I kept mine at my bedside for months. I put it on a shelf and my cat tried to eat it. So I stashed it in a drawer for safekeeping. Isn't reading the new catalog part of our own self-education process?

Mine's falling apart. It is my most favorite catalog. I am always reading it.

In the beginning, I read it cover to cover. I learned so much from their reviews. Now I don't use it nearly as much as I did. With 2 years of actual hsing, I have a better idea of resources that will work for us. I still love getting it in the mail, though!

Hey, you can check the little box when you order and they'll send you a BRAND NEW one! And you can then pass your old one on down to someone else!

I used to. I still like getting home school catalogs, but I don't pore over them the way I did in the beginning. Of course, that *could* be because I memorized RR in the early years, and there's been comparatively little to memorize since then, as I only have to assimilate the "new" stuff into my in-brain copy of the catalog... ;)

It's bad enough how I yearn over curricula that I hear about on the Curriculum board all the time. If I studied Rainbow, I would drive myself absolutely crazy.

so I actually only dig into it when I am looking for a price or a little more info on a title/item I "heard" about on the forums.

I use it as a resource for price comparison and then I compile my lengthy RR list before hitting the annual convention. I do read Timerdoodle and Schoolhouse Publishing 'magalog' cover to cover though...I love their 'blurbs' and articles in the midst of the catalog!! :001_smile:

I love the RR catalog. It provides me with bathroom reading for months! Mine is filled with tape flags, highlighting, dog eared pages.
