I am looking at the highschool level English III(formerly Grade 9 English) or Literature Survey (formerly Introduction to Literature) or Keystone Highschool English courses for my dd for next year (10th grade). She has completed a number of Progeny Press novel studies this past year and enjoyed them....last year she completed Write Shop 2 at our homeschool co-op. She is a slow reader and is not very fond of reading anyways. Do you think either of the TPS courses would overwhelm her? I have no idea how many novels are studied in the Lit Survey course...any one know? I feel she is capable of more than she is putting out, but without competition, she is not motivated to exert herself. :glare: I feel like an on-line class would give her the burst of motivation she needs. Any thoughts?

She's doing Honors English 10 and it's been good for her. The accountability, routine, answering to another teacher...all have been good things. She's learned to organize her work and schedule herself better.
The course was tough for the first month because she hadn't ever done anything like this, but it's much easier for her now.
I would like a more rigorous course for her next year but this was the right fit for this year.
A Potter's School course would surely be much more rigorous than Keystone.
