I do WT 1 with my dd7 and ds9 (2nd/3rd). When it comes time to make a rough draft I usually have them narrate to me or write only the important details of the story. This week we did an usually long one and both were very over-whelmed with the thought of having to write it down. I had my dd7 narrate to me and draw a picture. Then I had my ds9 narrate to me while I wrote it on our dry-erase board. We went through and made corrections and as he read it he made better word choices. So is this sufficient for reluctant writers? I just want to make sure we are still benefiting from the work despite not doing all the writing.
