Well, is it? I'm attempting to make this a poll, so we'll see.

I don't know who the Backyardigans are but I really like SpongeBob. He's about as silly as it gets. I'd like to smack Dora though.

We adore the Backyardigans. We don't get cable though, so it is a rare treat to see them. The only DVD available at our Wal-mart is of a Halloween special and we don't do Halloween. :( But we frequently walk around the house loudly singing "What do you do with a scurvy pirate? Raid their ship and then hot wire it. What do you do with a scurvy pirate? Make him walk the plank!"

Um, I love the Backyardigans and have been known to watch the show when neither child is actually at home to give me an excuse :o I've also been caught listening to the CD in the car by myself.

My all-time favorite episode is the one with the moose of the mist and the swamp of stinkiness. I'd been telling my DH how funny it was, and then a few days later he happened to catch the whole thing, complete with title--Queens Are Never Wrong. He was like, "Ah. NOW I see why this is YOUR favorite episode..." (He thinks he's so smart )

Silly is bad? Oh, dear.

I'm grateful that my 13yo is still open to "silly" stuff, myself.

I'm 41 and I love them. My 9 year old rolls her eyes over this, however.

The kids and I bought dh a 2 ft tall Tyrone last year. He was hooked after watching the viking episode. I have gotten the riding the range tune stuck in my head a day or two!

I voted 'Why would that be silly'. Although I don't know about that show, I have favorite kid shows myself. Dd9 nearly has a heart attack if I pause on Barney. Luckily, dd15 still enjoys watching it with me though. We have a few dvd's from when she was little. They are very fond memories for us and she and I still sing along loudly. My two favorite kid cd's are Dragon Tales and Joe Scruggs. I also regularly listen to Disney cd's and Animaniacs in the car. It beats radio by a mile!

We JUST finished watching that episode :D DD loves that show and I love the music - I think it is very original. We love backyardigans here!

No. I'm waiting out for Monday night when I can finally see the night time special they did. (we are two weeks behind) Granted I'm watching it to see (hear?) Adam Pascal who did a guest spot as a dragon and did a song on it. I had to call my girlfriend in the states and have her copy it for me because we can't get the vcrs to work over here with the cable set up. But it is one of the few kid shows that I not only can tolerate, but actually like the idea of and the characters.
