I want something that is of high quality and will last! I would really prefer to order something on-line. If it has to be draftman-type quality to be good, that is fine! Please help!
Thanks!

I'm not sure about on-line or where you are located...but Stapes has many fine drafting products at reasonable prices.

I bought my compass at a local art-supply store. I was tired of the flimsy ones that just didn't work. The one I got is a Staedtler, it is metal with a screw-type mechanism so it stays locked until you change it and it has a very sharp point and a replaceable lead. It was around $15.

Okay, this looks like it...apparently I paid too much. They didn't have this one at my local Staples, just the flimsier student compasses.
