we have a contract! we have a contract! we have a contract!!!

we might have a backup offer too -- :) depends on the timing of everything, but they came in at the 11th hour and our realtor's & lawyers are chatting tonight. BUT they'd have to agree to NO HOUSE INSPECTION! And OUR choice of closing dates. :) Of course, no contingency. They have a mortage already because they got "sniped" out of another contract themselves.

Even so the first offer is good to go with our say so tomorrow--if we don't get a better offer tonight :)

We're moooooooooving. :auto:

We're having a pizza party, watching Alvin & the Chipmunks, and hanging out with the kiddos.

NO MORE HOUSE SHOWINGS!!!!!

Thank you for being excited with me. It's been a long 7 months.

I know that feeling, it's nice isn't it? We closed in Feb, after 7 months on the market as well. Congrats!

What a load off your shoulders! I am SO excited for you!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

You should know that I tried to put 10 smilies in here but was limited to a mere 8, which do NOT express the extent of my jubilation for you.

7 months is a long time to show a house and keep it up where someone could show up at any time. Phew! Now to pack... lol

Where are you moving to? New city or bigger house (or both?) :D

The new house is only going to be 15 min away from here. But it is in more of a rural setting. The public school district is described as a "farming community." Not that we'll be using the public school that I can forsee.

It will have enough bedrooms for us all. We'll be able to move the baby out of our room into a room with one of her big sisters. :) She's a great sleeper but it's time.

The biggest thing is the basement--an indoor playground for the kids during the winter time. We don't have one now, if we did we wouldn't feel the pressure to move. But the kid's rooms are too small to fit their dressers & beds so their toys are downstairs. They do keep them picked up, but they do get spread out while they're playing.

Ah yes, the cul-de-sac. A Place for the kiddos to ride their bikes. All the neighbors here at this house call the street we currently live on a "highway." Speed limit is 25 mph. But reality is more like 40 mph. We just can't have new riders on sidewalks inches from these crazy drivers. Ironically the cops are the worst! They fly down our street going 65 mph sometimes!

Dh's commute will double. It will be around 30 min.

NO MORE HOUSE SHOWINGS!!!!!

Thank you for being excited with me. It's been a long 7 months.

WONDERFUL! After having my house on the market for 9 months - I can so relate to your happiness! We didn't sell yet, just rented it out and moved. The stress that lifted from not having house showings is amazing! Congrats!
