OK, it's not Minnesota-cold. But it's cold for us, right? ;)

What part of AL are you in?

We're in Northern Alabama, down by the river, ready for those daffodils to start popping up any day now...

Maybe it's not too late. When we first moved here, everyone told us it usually snows sometime early-to-mid Feb! So, maybe... wouldn't that be great? The boys really miss "real snow", but they do make the best of it. They talk about our "yearly quarter inch of snow" with the kind of awe that's usually reserved for a three-foot snow on Christmas Eve, kwim? I don't know that they'll ever adjust. ;)

Hey, if you're ever up for a get together, let me know. We go north of the river fairly regularly (gotta make those Sam's runs every month, and hit the museums while we're in town!)

We aren't in AL yet, but we plan to be by the middle of July. We are moving south for the first time in our lives. We'll be in Tuscaloosa.

We're down on the Redneck Riviera... the coast, that is!

It's rainy today. Very yucky.

But, it has been really beautiful lately. The azaleas, wisteria, and dogwood are in full bloom. The bees are buzzing and the chickens are laying eggs.

Can't beat it!

I just had to pop in and say hey - I'm from Decatur, but moved away in 98, when my DH joined the Coast Guard. Our last station was in Mobile, too.

Now we're in south FL, and it definitely "ain't the South" - not the one I'm used to, anyway.

Hey all!!!

My name is Tara Hall and I homeschool up in Madison County (Huntsville, Toney, Madison and other areas)....WTM has been so kind to allow us our very own Madison County forum area where we can post events and opportunities to share with each other!! Please, if you are in this area or know of other families in this area, help me spread the word so that we can get "connected" and provide more communication for our children as we go on this journey! :)

Oh! And one of you mentioned Tannehill...I know a wonderful homeschooling family that moved there over a year ago and (you may already know them!) she'd love to hear about more homeschoolers in her area (she's in Woodstock!)

Thanks!!

Here's the link for Madison County homeschoolers...

HI! :) We are in Evergreen -which is South Alabama!

We are about an hour north of Mobile and an hour South of Montgomery.

We homeschool under Day Spring Academe.

I would love to hear about anything going on for homeschoolers in a hundred mile radius or so.
