View Full Version : Latin for science ??
Please could someone give me an opinion about Latin curriculum. I have used Prima Latina for Dd now 8. I bought the whole package and she loved it. Ds is coming up but truly loves science.
Is there a curriculum that is better for knowing science terminology or are they all pretty much doing the same thing? That sounds awful. But I am asking genuinely.:bigear:
If there is a list of better options I would love one. Just point me in the right direction with a small framework and I can manage.
Thanks in advance!

...Real Science 4 Kids by Dr. Keller and she had a cool supplement to her program that was called "Science connects to...Language" and it was a study of the terms we used in the science and their Latin roots and connections. I liked it a lot.

I just looked at Real Science 4 Kids last weekend, and they have a "language" book that goes along with each program which specifically covers science vocabulary for that program. I ordered it but don't have it in yet, so I can't give you any more info about it right now, but I'm sure others who already use it can,

We're going to start with her Vocabulary Vine basic Latin/Greek roots program next year (4th grade level language arts) and will probably pick up Science Roots a bit later on.
Thanks
I am going to look these up. I will check in later also.
Anyone else have suggestions??
I looked at the other ones but they seemed too old for Ds.
Thanks!
