About my brother's death

Lots of you folks prayed for our family when my brother Ben was killed in car crash back in November. My parents drove down to the crash site Monday and my dad's e-mail is posted as an entry on the "Better Make It Through Today" blog linked below.

I'm exhausted so I won't try to retype the highlights here. Thanks again for all your sweet and comforting words back then, and if you can spare more prayers and good thoughts for the other driver...well, she could really use them this week especially as the D.A. intends to file charges against her.

You and your family are in my prayers. I have had 2 brothers die young and I know what a hole it leaves. I'm so sorry.

Dear Rebecca,
I am so sorry your family is going through this, too. My sister's family lost her son in November, also in a horrible car accident. My sister and brother-in-law are getting ready to deal with the trial in the upcoming months. You and your family are in my thoughts- I find it so hard to comprehend how families like both of ours get through the loss of a child, but they can and do, and both of ours will.

My heart goes out to you and your family. I still mourn the death of my brother, Rob, who was killed by a senseless young driver on December 2, 1996. He was my only sibling. My comfort rests in knowing that the Lord has given our brothers eternal life and that one day, we will see them again.
