I just opened my Loom cd to look at the Resources list. (I had to download a free Excel thing first. I am, obviously:o, not at all familiar with Excel, or any other spreadsheet program.) I read the "How to use the list" information at the top of the Loom, where it tells how you can move the lists around, copy parts, etc., but I can't say I really understood what I read. What I need to know is, Can I Mess Up the CD? If I copy, delete, move, etc. things around on the list, do my actions affect the cd? or will it still come up as it did out of the package (unmutilated by my messing around) the next time I pop it in the computer? Help! I am afraid that I will permanently mess up this Very Expensive program that I just bought!
Many thanks!

You cannot mess up the CD, the information is permanently on there and you cannot save changes to your CD. If you copy a file to your computer and change it, that is different but you will always have the original file on the CD.
:) You have permission to relax now.

You can't mess up a cd. It is read-only by nature. What you would want to do that when you have things moved around to how you want to do a "Save As" to somewhere else on your computer so that you won't have to redo your work.

You guys are wonderful! Thank you so much! I've been reading the introductory notes for the past little while, and now I can go look at that book list without fear -- yay!

Awww! Thanks Lisa! I suspected that it was a dumb questions, and that I probably wouldn't mess up the cd, but I would have felt even dumber if I was wrong about that and Did mess it up.
