Why do I have a notification of a PM that won't go away?

I have no unread messages yet my notifications read that I have 1.

It's been like this for a few days.

Any ideas?

Just a suggestion -- do you have any folders with PMs in them? When I was trying to free up my PM space, I totally forgot that I had been saving some in folders.

I know that doesn't address the issue of 'unread' but it's the only thing that came to my mind.
