I have pacing questions regarding Henle Latin as I am a little confused right now.

On the Memoria Press website it recommends doing Henle Book 1- units 1&2 for one year. Then doing Book 1- units 3-5 for one year. Then it mentions that they carry Books 2, 3, and 4 but it doesn't say how long each of these books should take on average.

Can someone give me an idea on this?

Henle MP style (units 1-5 over 2 yrs) is for middle school not high school.

MODG syllabus covers First Year Latin, Henle units 1-7 in one school yr which is high school level pacing. First Year Latin units 8-14 is considered Latin 2 in high school. Second Year Latin is usually used in grades 11 & 12.

OK, I didn't even realize that there were units beyond 1-5 in book one as they are never mentioned. We will be doing the middle school pacing as ds will be in 5th grade (but has had PL, LCI and LCII already). So I guess I should plan on more time for the rest of the units on book one!

EXCELLENT! :hurray: Maybe you will get to Third Year Latin, Henle or better yet be reading the Bible in Latin or Cicero in high school.

Here's the link to First Year Latin for you to look at: http://www.setonbooks.com/viewone.php?ToView=P-L1HS-11 It's listed on my blog with other Henle helps (Aperite Libros in my sign.).
