Something similar happened a few weeks ago in a town neighboring mine. These were 2nd graders :confused:

So many things could be said but mostly I think they get ideas like this from watching the news coverage of other school violence. You could easily make the case that they are too young to really understand the consequences of their actions. It's all very sad but I sure hope the kids get help and this doesn't follow them around their whole school careers.

I can't imagine one scolding generating this kind of group effort in this age group.

I agree. I wonder what else may have been going on in that classroom. Still very inappropriate behavior for those children!!!!

You know what's really scary? I read a statistic today that said nationally fewer than 50% of urban students graduate from high school. That wouldn't be terrible if good craftman/skilled labour training programs were available. The world needs plumbers, electricians and carpenters, too. Sorry, this is way off-topic.
