Hello, I will be teaching my 5th grade daughter at home starting next year. I would like to do some logic with her, but would need an English curriculum that is fairly simply written. She is a native Spanish speaker with emerging English skills.

Thanks so much for any ideas...

I've given up on the idea of logic with ESL kids. Much of logic depends on tiny subtelties (ok it's too early to spell this word) of the English language. Much better to do logic in your native language.

We're French, and I found a curriculum meant for 1st year university people, but that can be done with younger kids at a slower rythm.

My BIL was able to do Mind Benders and his first language is Spanish. It isn't exactly logic but it is a good start and really made him think. Just go very slowly and do it as a team. I leaned not to worry about his ESL status so much and just went slowly, doing all subjects in English. It was hard at first, but he thanks me all the time now.
