Hello to all the amazingly patient and determined mothers of children with special needs.
I would like to thank you all for your help over the past months as I agonised over spending the last of what was left of my savings on the Lindamood-Bell programme. I read many of your forum postings about a variety of programmes and intervention and decided to complete LMB for my dyslexic/APD daughter age 12.

Lindamood-Bell has changed our lives forever my child who could not read past a kindergarten level is now reading for the first time in her life and I cannot begin to explain the joy for her. LMB does NOT solve all the issues of APD however they do give life long strategies that will stay with a child enabling them to read, write and comprehend. I had come to a point where I could no longer work with my child we both came to despising literacy work and the school offered very little support with unsuitable programmes.

If you would like to hear more about our journey through the LMB process please feel free to follow along on our blog.
All the very best to you all on your journey as I know ours has just begun!

Thank you for the update and for sharing your daughter's story on your blog!

I was just thinking about you earlier this week. It seemed like such a huge undertaking for you to spend all your savings and move to a different city for LMB tutoring. I wondered how that turned out for you. I'm so very glad you shared! How remarkable to see such progress from your daughter!

I'm very impressed with the materials, programs manuals and research information that I have seen from Lindamood-Bell, but I never worked with one of their clinics. We did their LiPS program at home, which helped my son greatly. I want to try V/V with my children at home this summer. It was particularly helpful for me to read on your blog that they overlapped V/V with your daughter while she worked with their other programs too.

Again, thanks for sharing. :) Let us know if you decide to homeschool your daughter once you get back home.
