For those heading into the medieval and renaissance periods, this (http://cla.calpoly.edu/~dschwart/engl512/allegory.html) site might help. It's a series of study questions specifically about allegory in medieval literature. Allegory is such a prominent aspect of medieval lit, these study questions and literature selections might be a valuable part of a literature curriculum.

The site is a college professor's.

More study guides for medieval lit from further into the professor's links: here. (http://cla.calpoly.edu/~dschwart/engl203/203home.html#onlinereadings)
And the motherlode is here. (http://cla.calpoly.edu/~dschwart/teaching.html)
