A few review lessons from the freshman program are provided. The program uses sentence combining and other transformational exercises to familiarize students with the grammar and punctuation of a wide variety of standard English sentence patterns that they can apply to their writing immediately. The lessons take just 10 to 15 minutes, so the program takes little class time and works well as bell work or an independent study for students.
