Has anyone used Oak Meadow World History?Opinions?

I've used the middle school World history for 6th and 8th grade. We really enjoyed it. The "textbook" is actually a black and white paperback, which can be a negative. Each chapter has several writing topics or projects which my kids really enjoyed. It also really got them to branch out into topics they might not have done on their own. I would say this part is good for kids who like research and "rabbit trails." We also really supplemented a lot with historical fiction and movies.

If you're looking for info on their high school course than the above won't apply.
