anyone use this with their accelerated kiddo? Kolbe uses each text for two years, i.e. science 2 is used for 1st and 2nd grades. dd LOVES science so I was thinking of getting a "first science" encyclopedia to start doing for science next year and then expanding but i want to make sure i get her nice and prepared kwim?

My son loves science, and he used Harcourt Science Grade 2 from Kolbe last year. He enjoyed the book but the entire book could be done in half of one year. Spreading it over to years was too slow of a pace for him.

The idea from Kolbe is, I think, for the parent to add in extras to go more deeply into the book rather than going through it quickly, though. You would have plenty of time to supplement with the First Science Encyclopedias if you go at the pace Kolbe recommends.
