Can you help me with a book title please?

It's about what happens to the parent/child relationship when the children develop stronger, more influential relationships with their peers.

I'm sure I heard about it here. I started reading it last year, then I returned it to the library before I had a chance to finish it because we found out we were moving out of state... We're now moved and somewhat settled, and my mind is a complete blank as to either the title or the author. Does anyone know the book I'm talking about?
