So, we're HUGE baseball fans here in our house and today is Opening Day in Detroit. Even the weather is cooperating as it's near 60 degrees!!!
Dh works across the street from the Tiger's stadium (Comerica Park). It's no secret that he LOVES the Tigers and he usually snags tickets to quite a few games every year. Well, today's game is sold out and dh managed to get a ticket!!!! 10th row right behind the visitors' dugout.
We're all extremely jealous!!!
Oh - and, if they DO go to the World Series again - I WILL BE THERE again!!!!
GO TIGERS!!!!

My husband (born in Detroit) loves the Tigers...in spite of everything. He keeps talking about Denny McClain...

I think today is opening day here, too. And it is rainy!

Oh - good for your dh!!! We're fans in good times and bad here. Two years ago was particularly fun (they made it to the World Series - dh, the baby and I went to game one and had tickets to games 6 and 7 but they lost before those games). Anyway, Dh liked Denny McClain too. I didn't really get into the Tigers until the 84 team (I was in 6th grade).

I hope they had better luck than the Tigers and that your dh was able to stay dry!!!

We went to that game in the new stadium that had the bug infestation--remember that one? We watched them light smudge fires in the bullpens...and, suddenly, we understood why everyone moved!

Too bad they lost, kinda dampens the fun of opening day. I look forward to seeing how the new players contribute. In other news, looks like the Wings are ready to claim the President's Cup again and the Pistons are in a great position for the NBA playoffs as well.

Was this just last season? Dh and the kids were at that game. The bugs were these awful moths, which brought the seagulls. If it was that game, it was the Verlander no-hitter!! What an awesome memory for my kids!!

Yea. We were pretty bummed. But, the kids saw dh on tv!! We're watching the new players with interest too. We were SO disappointed in Cabrera when he threw the ball off to first and got an error on his first play!! Oops!
We watch other sports when the playoffs start.

I think it was a couple of years ago...we didn't get up to Michigan last year (every other year). We'll be in E. Lansing this year, for a hockey camp in June...
