How do you grade your high school student? Do you just use the evaluations? What specifically do you do for History and Government in year 2?

Thanks
Maury

I grade his writing and yes, he takes the Evaluations and I grade those. As far as transcript grades go, I haven't decided how I'm going to list them yet. Socratic discussion is hard to grade and that's a big part of it. My son and I have fantastic discussions, but I just don't know. Marcia used a P/F system with her children I believe. Hope someone else chimes in, Kathleen?

It's been a long time since I used TOG for high school, but I graded my son on his papers and his discussions and other evaluations (essay questions and so forth for history). He was an excellent writer and thinker, and I gave him A's in all his humanities courses (history, literature, etc) because he did excellent work.

I can't comment on Yr. 2, because the only year I used TOG for high school we used Yr. 3 (in my son's senior year). It's a great program, though!
