View Full Version : Choosing Co-op Writing...any alternatives to CW Chreia?

We're choosing our writing curriculum for our 9th graders for next year in our co-op. While we've used CW for years and love it, we're tired of it burning out our teachers! And honestly, it burns out our students too. We're ready and willing to go with it again, but I thought I'd do a little research first.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for us? We've thought of Jensen's Format Writing already, and I've had some experience with Classical Composition. What else is out there that I'm missing?

TIA!

P.S. Obviously we've not used Chreia for years, as it's brand new! We're ready to try it out, but really, the thought of putting another CW program into the works does elicit some groans from the adults, even though we know the end results will be great. Just clarifying....

Have you looked at the Lost Tools of Writing (http://208.112.20.50/l_lostoolsofwriting_l2.shtml)?
