I found a few similar items on Amazon that are less expensive, but I'd happily spend $50 on a FlashMaster if it really works well. How is the quality?
Thanks so much!!

We just got one about a month ago, and we love it so far. The kids think it's fun. No one argues or whines when it comes out. We tried flash cards, and Calculadders, and home made drill sheets, and rote drill. I got tired of it, and it showed. The machine never gets tired, and never judges. :) Flashmaster has a huge display, and is easy to figure out. It has several different modes for use, timed and untimed (my dcs totally stress out when timed). I like that I can review what they did, and the scores they achieved. I'm glad we got it.

Math Shark will display equations both vertically and horizontally, looks cuter, and has a lower price point. It doesn't have the customization features and multi-child features of Flashmaster. If $$ is the decider, a Math Shark will be just fine. My dd is reading over my shoulder and says to tell you she LOVES hers.
